Hosting Packages:

Here at Vye, we provide three Wordpress hosting packages tailored to suit a client's website requirements: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Hosting is the essential service that enables your website to be accessible on the internet. Our packages are designed with a range of features and services to guarantee that your website operates smoothly and securely. Vye is only taking new hosting clients that utilize Wordpress.  Any other site will be hosted as a service like Shopify or HubSpot, or by a host of the clients choosing.

Hosting package pricing depends on:

  1. Needed bandwidth per month
  2. Needed disk space
  3. Number of hours required for changes each month (one or two hours)
  4. Effort and frequency of manual site reviews

  • UNIX Website Hosting Account with 15 GB Website Storage Space and 100GB of Bandwidth
  • Daily website backups kept for 30 days (can be restored upon request)

  • Quarterly manual review and update of outdated plugins (if rebuilding site elements is required, hourly rate applies)

Bronze Package ($45/month)

  • UNIX Website Hosting Account with 10 GB Website Storage Space and 50GB of Bandwidth
  • Daily website backups kept for 30 days (can be restored upon request)
  • SSL Security Certificate for the entire website
  • Automatic website software and plugin updates (after stability verification). Manual updates required due to urgency or issues with auto-updates will be charged at an hourly rate.

FAQ

Q: What is web hosting?
A: Hosting is the service that allows your website to be accessible on the internet. It provides the servers and storage space necessary for your website to be online and visible to visitors.

Q: Do you have servers on-site that you own?
A: We do have our own servers that we manage but are no longer offering that service.  Currently, we're only taking on new hosting customers under our own WP Engine dedicated environment.

Q: What is the difference between hosting and technical support?
A: Hosting refers to the service that provides the servers and storage space for your website to be online. Technical support, on the other hand, involves assistance with website issues, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The Gold hosting package includes complimentary technical support for hosting services for up to two hours per month. Additional technical support beyond this limit will be charged at an hourly rate. For all other hosting packages, any technical support requests will also be billed at the hourly rate.

Q: What is bandwidth?
A: Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be transferred to and from your website within a given time period, usually measured monthly.

Q: Why do I need an SSL certificate?
A: An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate is essential for securing your website and ensuring that all data transmitted between your website and visitors is encrypted. This protects sensitive information, such as login credentials and payment details.

Q: Why do plugins need to be updated?
A: Plugins are regularly updated to fix bugs, improve security, and add new features. Keeping your plugins up-to-date is crucial for maintaining the functionality, performance, and security of your website.

Q: How often are plugin and software updates performed?
A: All three packages offer Automatic website software and plugin updates where they are available.  A manual review of plugin updates is performed depending on the hosting package you choose: Gold-Monthly, Sliver-quarterly, and Bronze only, due to urgency or an issue with the auto-update. The hourly rate applies for plugin/software updates under the Bronze package.  completed on a monthly basis. 

Q: How often are website backups performed?
A: Website backups are performed daily to ensure that your website's data is constantly protected. These backups are stored securely for a period of 30 days, allowing you to restore your website to a previous state if needed. In the event of any unexpected issues or data loss, you can request a backup to get your website back up and running smoothly. This regular backup process helps to safeguard your website's information and ensure that you have access to historical data when necessary.

Q: Can I upgrade or downgrade my hosting package?
A: Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your hosting package at any time based on your website's needs and requirements. Please reach out to your Vye Account Manager if you are making this request.

Q: Why host my site with Vye?

A: By hosting with Vye, you can be assured that we're utilizing top-tier infrastructure. This often equates to less cost and fewer headaches when making changes and updates to your site. It also allows the agency to have a more complete picture of your online presence.

Q: Will you manage and renew my domain name?

A: This is a separate service and is not included in our web hosting. Vye is no longer offering domain registration services. Q: Does hosting include email?
